Improving paper absorbency

This page shows images of different kitchen towelling products of varying absorption performance, some of which are demonstrably much more effective than others. I have high speed video microscopy techniques that accurately determine not only how much liquid paper can absorb over short time scales but how quickly it occurs, in the x, y & z directions.
