Optimising resin treatment of décor paper
To achieve adequate decor paper treatment, the paper must be fully impregnated with urea formaldehyde resin prior to the addition of the melamine formaldehyde resin. The following images demonstrate the point that melamine formaldehyde resin will migrate into areas not saturated with UF impregnating resin causing blotch and porosity leading to expensive rejects.
|This is the pre-wetting roller the most important part of the treater. If adequate penetration is not achieved here then the result will be either excess MF resin usage or a reject panel.|
